This soap was made by special request by my then 16 year old son. He was having some skin issues and wanted something that might help. After extensive research I came up with a recipe just for him. The activated charcoal that creates the black in this bar helps gently exfoliate the skin. The combination of high quality oils leaves the skin clean and nourished.
Scented with a Blood Orange fragrance oil which is a zesty citrus blend of rich blood orange, tangy grapefruit and juicy mandarin infused with melon, ripe peach and delicate jasmine, and subtle base notes of white musk and woods.
Ingredients include: Olive Oil, Distilled Water, Coconut Oil, Lard, Sodium Hydroxide (Lye), Castor Oil, Avocado Oil, Shea Butter, Fragrance Oil, Activated Charcoal, & Mica
How to keep your handcrafted soap fresh and lasting as long as possible:
It is important to remember that handcrafted soap contains no harsh chemicals or preservatives, so although it will last as long as any commercial soap it does need a little extra care.
• Handcrafted soaps love to breath!
• To enjoy a long-lasting bar of soap don’t let it get soggy; don’t leave it submerged in water for too long, and try to keep it away from shower spray.
• Keep it well-drained (allow it to dry) between uses if possible by using a ridged or self-draining soap dish. You can also stand it on its end so that air can circulate around it.
• Please remember that since my soaps are handmade, each soap is a little different than another.
